At Asiera, we are committed to creating meaningful opportunities for young people from underrepresented backgrounds to explore careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). Through our ‘Transition Year Work Experience Programme’, we are proud to support the STEM Passport for Inclusion, a national initiative that helps students access mentoring, skills development, work experience, and pathways to higher education and employment.
The recent STEM Passport for Inclusion Industry Engagement Awards 2026 hosted at Mastercard’s Dublin offices, was an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of students, educators, and industry partners who are working together to build a more inclusive future in STEM. Hearing first-hand from students about the positive impact of the programme reinforced the importance of creating accessible and supportive experiences that help young people develop confidence, skills, and career aspirations.
We are delighted to share that Asiera’s Transition Year Work Experience Programme was recognised with two awards:
Industry Trailblazer Award
Recognising Asiera’s commitment to advancing STEM inclusion through industry engagement, mentoring, and initiatives that create meaningful opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds to explore and pursue STEM careers. This award recognises the contribution of many of our staff members as the designed and delivered career path workshops.
Outstanding Individual Impact Award
Celebrating the dedication and contribution of Sarah-Jane Priestley, Asiera Learning & Development and HR Co-ordinator, and the People Operations team in building an inclusive culture, expanding access to opportunity, and supporting the development of the next generation of STEM professionals.
These awards reflect the collective efforts of everyone involved in Asiera’s Transition Year Work Experience Programme and our continued commitment to creating opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds to engage with STEM.
Building pathways into technology careers
Through our partnership with STEM Passport for Inclusion, Asiera continues to support students by providing opportunities to gain industry insight, develop practical skills, and build the confidence needed to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
By connecting education and industry, Asiera is helping to ensure that more young people can see a future for themselves in STEM and have the support and opportunities needed to achieve their ambitions.
